NATIONALIST GAINS

The elections for the Prussian Diet were held simultaneously with the general election and also resulted in the heavy defeat of the Nationalists who lost forty-two out of a hundred and nine seats. The Socialists are the strongest party with 114, the Communists have 50, and all 'others combined 219.—Australian Press Assn.
BERLIN, May 21. ( Assuming the predictions regarding distribution of the surplus are fulfilled,) the state of the parties after I the German general elections will be:— Socialists, 150 (gain of 19). Nationalists, 72 (loss of 39). Centreists, 60 (loss of nine). People's Party, 52 (loss of seven). , Bavarian People's Party, 16 (loss of three). Economic Party, 23 (gain of six). Fascists, 13 (loss of one).;
