Royal Mail Co.'s garage last evening. The .building which was. a large wooden ,qne contained six cars, all of which /were destroyed, together with stocks of tyres', oils and tools. The brigade made a good save of adjoining buildings. The cars owned by the Royal Mail Company, the Inspector of Machinery, Sargood, Son and Ewan, E. W. Beckett, were insured, but those owned by Ruddy and Sloane and Mr Peargram were s uninsured. Details of insurance on the building are not available.
