DAMAGE BY BUSH FIRE
BLAZE OUT OF CONTROL. MILL AND COTTAGES -IMiRNKI). Per Press Association. TNVERCAIUHLL, Last Night. A fire was started on Sunday morning, about half a mile from Tuatapere township, for til;/! purpose of clearing the busifi. It got out or control later iu the day owing to a strong north-west wind that was blowing. The fire spread rapidly, soon reaching lan old sawmill. The mill war, burned to the ground and four cottages in the vicinity aflso caught lire and were reduced i<> ein- [ d'ers. i Residents at the edge of the bush j had an/anxious time in the afternoon, ! but, fortunately the wind changed , and the flamefi were carried past their ' houses. No further damage is reportd.
