INTOXICATED MOTORIST. \ A fine of £lO, the suspension of his licence and a disqualification from holding a licence for a period of 12 months, was the penalty inflicted upon George Edward Clout, a retired farmer, of Pitzroy, who pleaded guilty to being in a state of intoxication while in charge of a motor-car in Powderham Street at an early hour yesterday morning. Senior-Sergt. M'Crorie, who appeared for the police, said the constable on night duty observed a car coming down Powderham Street, steering a somewhat erratic course. When near the Police Station the car ran into a fence, and On the constable going up to the driveT he found him intoxicated and took him in charge.
