TIMARU TO CHRISTCHURCH. Per Press Association, CHRISTCHURCH, Saturday. One hundred and three riders started from Tiniaru this morning on the long ride to Christchurch. The roads were good, hut on the early part of the journey greasy patches ga|ve the riders a spattering of mud. A light north-easterly breeze was against the riders. There were few falls, but a fair number of punctures. The winner, A. A. Morwood, of Papanui (IGinin.), had a puncture at Temuka and lost six minutes," but joined the lOmin, handicap hunch and led them along at the finish. Nine men entered the showgrounds together, ’ and a desperate sprint over the track for the finishing line ended in Morwood gaining the lead by half a length. The results are: A. A.
