Per Press Association. CHRTSTCJIURC 11, This Day. Conditions could not have been much, worse for the football match Canada v. Canterbury at English Park on Saturday. There had been heavy rain throughout the flight, the ground was thoroughly wet and heavy, and the afternoon was bitterly cold, with occasional showers. Canada won decisively by six goals to nil, but Canterbury missed several opportunities.

JULIAN CUP FINAL. In the Julian Soccer Cup final played at Stratford on Saturday afternoon, Caledonians (Mew Plymouth), were victorious over A-uroa by 2 goals to 1. There was no score in the first spell, and when the second half cairne to an end the two teams wore equal —one all. As it was desired to reach a decision a further ten minutes play each way was ordered- However the first period of extra time ended without alteration a.nd it was not until just .3 minutes before the end of the next spell that Harwell scored a goal for the Caledonians. \ Tlie Julian Cup was presented by Mr Adams, president of the Taranaki. Football Association, to Air Rae, the captain of the Caledonians. Mr Adams congratulated the members of the Caledonian team on their winning the cup at their first attorn nt, and hoped that in the interest of the game it would be won by a southern team next year. Air Rae briefly replied.
