(Received 10.42 a.m.) LONDON, November 23. The New Zealand League team soundly defeated Keighley by 23. points to three points. COMPLETELY OUTPLAYED. (Received 1.40 p.m.) v;* LONDON, November 23. Fielding,almost their strongest side the New eZalaml League players complete! outplayed ;although they were inconsistent in the later, stages. They started with a fine dash and flourish, playing fine football in the. first, twenty minutes. The forwards, of whom Mouat, Carrol and Singe were the most prominent, scrummaged excellently, giving the halves many chances and the backs’ passing bordered on brilliancy. Keighley was unable to check the attacks. ‘Sanders, Singe and Davidson secured tries in quick succession, Mouat converting one and kicking a penalty goal. With a lead of 13 to nil the visitors eased and the scrummaging deteriorated, and play became more even. , JCeigtyey secured possession more frequently but lacked finish.
