DEPARTMENT OP HEALTH. WELLINGTON. NOTICE TO ALL MATERNITY NURSES. TTNDER Section 13, paragraph (c), of the Nurses' and Midwives' Registration Act, 1925, those women who are not registered as midwives but who desire to continue in practice as (maternity nurses can he registered as such if they prove to the satisfaction of the Nurses' and Midwives' Registration Board that they have for not less than twelve months prior to Ist ,January, 1926, been regularly engaged in practice as maternity nurses in New Zealand. They must apply for registration not later than the first day of January, ,1927, forwarding the necessary certificates as to experience and enclosing a post office receipt for the registration fee of £l. Any person omitting to make such application will be .after that date, barred entirely from practising unless after undergoing the necessary course and passing the State Examination as prescribed by the Regulations under the above Act. AH intending to register under this Section of the Act are urged to lodge their aplication for reg\3tration at once. Forms of application and for payment of fees can be obtained from the offices of the Department of Health, Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin and the undersigned. J. W. IJNDER Section 23 of the Nurses’ ami Midwives’ Registration Act, 1925, it is necessary that all persons who desire their names to be published in the Gazette as nurses or as midwives shall forward to the Secretary of the Registration Board a request that their names so appear together with their addresses and other particulars. Failure to forward such a request may result in the assumption that the person concerned is no longer on the Register. All nurses and midwives are therefore advised to apply forthwith to the offices of the Department of Health at Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin or the undersigned for the necessary forms on which such application for gazetting may be made.
