DAIRY INDUSTRY.

SOUTH TARANAKI PRODUCE. INCREASE IN OUTPUT. The figures now available at the practical conclusion of the dairying season show taat the, year s output of produce in Couth Taranaki exceeded that of the previous year, in the case of Hawera Dairy Company, by about 3 per cent. Earlier in the season an outstanding record was anticipated, until about February, the increase over the previous season being about 10 per cent. Unfavorable weather conditions, however, brought about an early curtailment of the season. The previous record of the prolific 192223 season is not quite equalled this year, the deficiency being about 2 or 3 per cent., but on all sides, the season has been a very satisfactory one from the point of view of production. From July 1 to the end of last month the Hawera Company received from milk for cheese-making 2,142,3591bs of butterfat, while for the corresponding period of last year 2,080,7471bs were received.
