FENG'YUHSIANG’S success
TROOPS MAINTAIN ORDER, NEWS BY WIRELESS. (Slin Cables.), (Received 8.45 a.m.) Hongkong, October 24. The naval authorities have been informed that General Feug-Yus-hiang deserted Wu-pei-fu, and on Thursday seized Peking wcth his division. Feng issued a. proclamation that he intends to put an end to the war, and may also replace the President by Tuan-ehi-jui. The Presidential palace is surrounded with troops. Order is being maintained in the city. Wireless is the only means of communication with Peking.
