The Berlin correspondent of Le Journal alleges the Germans are secretly manufacturing Lewisite, the deadliest gas discovered in war time. Emanations from the factory poisoned many of the residents of Pillau. Le Journal, adds: “Germany is defying the disarmament clauses of the Treaty of Versailles by preparing elecitWlcal anti-tank defences, by Krupps retaining a special big gunmanufacturing plant, by preventing the Allied Mission from inspecting the naval arsenal at Blbing, and by German warships participating in the Soviet manoeuvres.
