Betty Nuthall, aged thirteen, became the girl junior lawn tennis champion of Great Britain, defecting Miss Dearman, who is four years older, by 4—6, 6—4, 6—l. Betty's style is really wonderful, and it is hopecll she may become the English "Lenglen." J. C. Peacock, a New Zealander, reached the fifth round in the South England lawn lennis championship at Eastbourne, when he was defeated by Oolerees 6—l, 6—3. Melbourne. September 14. At tennis Victoria beat Stanford University by 132 games to 109.
