SUICIDE IN TAXI
SENSATION IN LEEDS Press Association—Copyright, Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. London, iSfeptember 9. Mr H. Cl. Evelyn White, lecturer at Leeds University and a well-known Egyptian archeologist, committed suicide in a taxi cab at Leeds while proceeding to the inquest on Miss Helen Nind, a'music teacher. White was subpoenaed to give evidence. Th© (inqjuest disclosed that Miss Nind poisoned herself with carbolic acid. Correspondence between White and Miss Nind was produced at the inquest.
