PIOUS HYPOCRISY
THE CHURCH AND THE STATE.
MOSLEM FESTIVAL.
Press Association—Copyright. Aus tralian and N.Z. Cable Association, (Received 11.10 a.m.) London, May 5.
Twenty nationalities aro represented at the Moslem Festival at Woking.
A Mosque priest, speaking on rel'gion. and peace, said none, but those who lived in a, western country could appreciate the meaning of pious hypocrisy. Though the recent Copeo Conference at Birmingham had admirable intentions, its deliberations, which embraced every conceivable subject in heaven and earth, were not worth a Russian kopec. The Church and the State in the west had become a miserable combine.
Those attenting the festival included the Xga Khan and Lord Headley.
