KOHURATAHI NOTES
(From Our Own Correspondent), sedation was hold recently, thefpresiA meeting of the local Settlers Asdent. Mr N. R. Cleland, boinrr in the chair. : Mr G. Cower, a member of the "Whangamomona County Council, was in attendance and proved to he a most useful member of the Association. A motion was passed unanimously, which the secretary, Mr T. E. Trask, was instructed to forward to the Prime Minister through .Mr R. Masters. M.F.. expressing the view that Parliament should ho assembled at once, . for the purpose of dealing with the present, and pending industrial troubles.
A motion was passed, placing on record the Association's thanks and appreciation of Mr Cleland's services to the district in connection with the recent trouble caused by the storm. The various public bodies of which Mr Cleland is a member, make a heavy call on his time, and it is good to see his work recognised by the settlers.
