M, Daugherty, the deposed Attorney-General, lias applied to the district Supreme Court for an injunction to prevent the Senate's Daugherty committee from investigating his alleged failure to the violators of the so-call.vl antitrust laws. Daugherty also asked for an injunction restraining the telegraph company from furnishing the committee with his private telegrams during incumbency. The news of the injunction suits surprised members of the Daugherty committee, who declared that they would vigorously combat the proceedings. Senator Wheeler statod that this was just another evidence of how Daughterly was attending to shorten the committee's investigation. Senator Wheeler added: "It is a. practical admission of his guilt, as We will prove if w« are peruiited to get at the truth.''
