THE KINO'S THEATRE. TO-NIGHT. "Wallace Reid, supported by Lila Lee and Walter Hiers, will be seen at the King's Theatre to-niglit in their latest Paramount Comedy drama "The Ghost Breaker," which is a melodrama with modern trimmiilgs. There is an old Spanish castle in Aragon, which is peopled with ghosts; A lovely Spanish girl, who is much annoyed by the ghostly visitants; a young and red-blooded hero who bumps into a feud in a visit to Kentucky, just because he happens to be a remote branch of the Jarvis family. A funny colored servant, Rusty Snow; a thrilling fight in an elevator of a new York Hotel, scenes in mid-ocean aboard a liner; also a lovely romance and thrills galore. An augmented orchestra will play Gilbert and Sullivan's operas. Commencing at a special matinee on Thursday afternoon, Harold Lloyd will be seen, in his .latest Paramount five-reel comedy, "Grandma's Boy."

ELTHAM FOOTBALL BALL. Something very special is foraged at the Footballers' bailout Bltham on September 17th. HAWERA OPERATIC SOCIETY. THE GEISHA. Residents of Stratford are looking forward to a very pleasant evening next Saturday when the Hawera Operatic Society, at the invitation of the Stratford Musical Society, will stage the comic opera "The Geisha." This production is looked upon as one of the best and the Hawera Society are to be commended for staging tills line opera. It is a production that will appeal to everybody. Mrs A. Dean, of Dunedin, who played the part of Momosa San under the late Tom Pollard, will play the part for the Hawera Society in place of Miss Leah Haughton, who is at present confined to her bed. Those who wish to make sure of seats are advised to book early.

jMAHOE TO-MORROW. A pleasant time is promised at the end-of-season ball at Mahoe tomorrow. "CHINATOWN" TO-MORROW. The ladies of the Methodist Church are to repeat the entertainment entitled "Chinatown" at the Methodist Scholroom, Regan Street, to-morrow evening. PEMBROKE ROAD DANCE. The final dance of the season in the Pembroke Road School is announced for Friday evening.
