DRUNK IN CHARGE OF CAR. Per Press Association, Hamilton, September 4. ; At the Police Court, Selwyn, Ha*letty. medical practitioner, Putaruru, was charged with being drunk while in charge of a motor car. Defendant pleaded he had had a very) busy and fatiguing time owing to the amount; of sickness in the district, and had taken some brandy, and later an injection of morphia sulphate on the day in question. He was nos drunk. The police said defendant drove the car in a reckless and erratic manner. Defendant was fined £lO.
