THE KING'S THEATRE. TO-NIGHT. One of the most powerful dramas seen on the screen at the King's Theatre was presented there on Saturday'hight, and met with an enthusiastic reception. Bearing the title of "The Impossible Mrs Bellew," this feature de luxe presents Gloria Swansoh in the strongest role of her screen career. Her-performance in the role of the wronged young wife, who sought to forget, and who eventually found another and greaiej ! happiness,. proved most artistic. As the mother torn from the child she loved dearer than life, she exhibited emotional talent of t high Q/der. Conrad Nagel, as the young novelist who alone saw thei*ood that was in "Mrs Bellew," gave a splendid characterisation. .Gloria Swanson wears many beautiful frocks and there are numerous shots of fashionable French resorts. The Torchy comedy evoked jiearty laughter. This programme will be repeated to-night. "THE GHOST BREAKER," To-morrow night, Wallace Reid, supported by Lila Lee and Waller Hiers, will appear in "The Ghost Breaker," a riotous comedy drama. In this picture our hero undertakes to clear a Spanish castle of some undesirable ghosts. There will be a spocial matinee performance on Thursday, afternoon of "Grandma's Boy."

The members of the Hawera Operatic Society are visiting Stratford at the invitation of tbe* Stratford Musical Society arid have arranged to put on the opera in the Town Hall on Suturday, September Bth.
