REPUBLICANS HANG BACK. (Received 5.40 a.m.) London, September 2. Mr Darrel Piggs,. writing in. the Sunday Times says: "The new Dai 7 / will not contain a live Opposition." at will be a one-sided House, for the Republicans will not take their seats. They will wait for the swing i of the pendulum, which is a common experience in all countries, but whereas in other .countries Ihe swing js operated within Parliament from one side to the other of a popular House, fthe danger in Ireland), is that it will operate between the)' Ministerialists in the House and tjje Republicans outside. Tiie effective working of the Constitution will certainly be a matter of great difficulty with an over-balanced House."
