J. E. WILSOST, S.M.
Auckland, September 3. J. E. Wilson, S.M. aged 50, died liter a few days' illness. The late Mr "Wilson, who was formerly a wcll-krtown citizen I of New Plymouth, underwent an operation last week, but the announcement of his death came as a great shock to his relatives and friends. The deceived, who was a son of Captain Wilson of New Plymouth, was born at ITrenui and was educated at the New Plymouth High School. After leaving school he decided to 50 in for law and later practised in .New Plymouth. A few years ago Mr Wilson was appointed a magistrate, and was stationed at Auckland. While there he was chosen for the important position of Chief jusifce of Samoa, but later resigned this position, and on returning to New Zealand was again appointed a magistrate at Auckland. Mr Wilson was Mayor of New Plymouth- for some time and took an active interest in public affairs. He married a daughter of Mr Lewis Hamerton of ingle wood and is survived by his widow and young family, as well a 3 by his father, brotheir.aud aister of New Plymouth. ~— - ■ 1 — n ■ —1
