NO FARMERS’ BANK SCHEME. Per Press Association Wellington, August 31. The statements made by Mr Fear at Masierton relative to a cool s to at Manchester and a co-operative dairy farmers’ bank were .referred to Mr W. Grounds (chairman of the Dairy Council), who says the council deeply, - appreciate the knowledge that the Dairy Council are to have the hearty co-operation of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union and the Dairy Farmers’ Union in furthering the Export Control Bill. They feel that Mr Fear’s intentions are along the same lines, but would point out, however, that the suggestions made by Mr Fear are not part of the proposal in any sense of the word, and have never even been thought of by the Dairy Council and the promoters of the. Bill.
