THE KING’S THEATRE TO-NIGHT. SPECIAL PARAMOUNT WEEK PROGRAMMES. Paramount week will be celebrated over the whole of New Zealand and Australia with special Paramount features, and in this respect the manager of the Kjng’s Theatre lias secured some very Rood programmes for Stratford. The first programme, which will be screened to-night and Monday night, is a special feature in which Gloria Swanson takes the leading part, entitled “The Impossible Mrs Bellew.” Never before has Gloria’s silken beauty and emotional fire been so lavishly displayed. She wears the most dazzling Pans gowns. There are many beautiful scenes such as the gay beach at Deauville, where there is the most wondrous array of one piece bathing suits. The Story is appealing -ami deals with what happens when an innocent wife’s reputation is purposely blackened by ah unscrupulous lawyer in order to save her worthless husband from conviction on a charge of murder. “THE GHOST BREAKER.”
On Tuesday and Wednesday next, Wallace Reid will be seen in a startling comedy drama, “The Ghost Breaker,” a surprising comedy romance, with a great cast of favourites, including Lila Lee and Walter Heires. v '‘GRANDMA’S BO A.” “Grandma’s Boy,” which will he screened on Thursday and- Friday nights is Harold Lloyd’s , greatest comedy, but that is not all, for underlying its unbroken sequence of humour is a story which plays all round the heart. The cast as usual is excellent. Dainty Mildred Davis is charming and the other players are on the same artistic standard. THE WORLD’S APPLAUSE.
On Saturday next Bebe Daniels will be, seen in “The World’s Applause.” A feature of Paramount week will be the Gilbert and Sullivan operas rendered by aiL augmented orchestra. «. a?
