A motion of sympathy with Mr V. B. Stratton, secretary of the Walmale Plains Trotting Club, in his illness, was passed at the annual meeting of the club last night, Mr J, H. Robertson, who has been accountant in the Lands and Survey Department, New Plymouth, for the past three years, has been transferred to Dunedin, where he will occupy the position of accountant. Mr Robertson was presented with a suit case and a travelling rug by his colleagues yesterday afternoon, Mr H. J. Lowe (Commissioner of Crown Lands) and Mr G. W. Palmer (chilf dork) paying tributes to his work. Mr Robertson left last night for Auckland, en route to the South, 11 1 ''■gg*
