The many friends of Plunket Nurse Ewart will regret to hear that lor the past few days she has been laid aside Cy a sharp attack of Influenza. However, she is progrossing satisfactorily and hopes to resume duty in a few days.
The death took place at New Plymonth at an early hour this morning of Mrs Smith, widow of the late Mr E. M. Smith, who represented the Tamnaki olei'loraf.e for many years in Parliament, and mother of Mr
