FARMER’S HEAVY LOSS.

A residence owned and ! cooupiea by J. Murdoch, at Hickutaia, was totally destroyed by fire, ,I’iio owner was away and tire ianuly were ail in the milidng shed. Before the alarm was giver, the dames dad secured a good hold, and it was impossible to cope with. it. The family lost valuable jewellery, and were left with only their working clothes. A farm hand, Alfred Greenwood, who was redding with tile Murdochs, lost all his and also £SO iu notes.
