STRATFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL. IN THE MATTER of "The Municipal Corporations Act 1920" and of "The Local Bodies' Loans Act 1913" add the Acts amending • the same respectively, and of Section 15 of "The Finance Act 1919." Proposed stßatf'o'rd borough COUNCIL TOWN CLOCK LOAN OF £1,500—1923. r £UE STRATFORD BOROUGH COUNCIL* hereby gives public notice that it proposes to borrow by way of Special Loan, under the provisions of "The Local Bodies' Loans Act i 913", and its amendments/the sum of One thousand five hundred pounds (£1,500): (a) The particular purpose for which the said loan is required is to provide a Town Clock as an approved War Memorial, as defined by Subsection (2} of .Section 15 of "The Finance Act 1919", and to erect the same in the Post Office in the Borough of ! Stratford; the provision and erection of the same by the Stratford Borough Council as aforesaid having been approved by the Governor-Gen-eral in Council under said Section of such last mentioned Act. (b) The sum proposed to be borrowed f° r suc h purpose is £1,500 at a rate of interest not exceeding £5 103 per cenl turn per annum, with a Sinking Fund of £8 per centum per annum additional (c) The Council proposes to pledge as security for the said loan of £1,500, and the interest and sinking fund theron, an annually recurring Special Rate of nine sixty-fourths of a penny (9-64 d) in the £ on the rateable value (on the basis of the Unimproved Value) of all rateable property within the said Borough of Stratford during the currency of such loan, and it' is proposed to repay the said Special Loan at the expir- ! ation of 10 years computed from the First day of December 1923 by means of the sinking fund and otherwise. (d) It is not proposed to pay out of the said Special Loan either the cost of raising the same, or the interest or the sinking fund thereon for the first year.
