H , The following Bills were introduced by Governor’s message; Repayment of Public Debt Amendment. —Tlie Premier stated he did not propose to go on with this Bill this session, but it was an important measure, and if the majority would support them the Government would be prepared to put it on the Statute Book next session. It dealt, with proposals referred to in tho Budget. He hoped members would study it during the recess.

Electric Power Boards Amendment, Land Drainage Amendment, Apprentices Amendment. The Premier indicated he did not intended to go on with the latter Bill this session. ,

Mr Vitch hoped the Government would go on with the Bill, which was' most important and had been agreed ta by both, employers and employees. He thought the House would pass it in a few minutes without amendment. ' All the Bills were read a first time.
