ANNUAL MEETING. Tho annual meeting of tho Tuna Co-operative Dairy Co., Ltd., was held in Stratford on Tuesday afternoon, when there was a representative attendance of shareholders, and Mr W. Skedgwol] (chairman of directors) presided. The sixth annual report stated; Tho output has again increased and tho quality continues to give every satisfaction, there having been only

Suppliers have received advances equal to sixteonpenco per lb buttorfat and the balance shows a surplus for further distribution of £1350 3s, equal to lid. There are, however, returns from consignments totalling 087 cases to come and this cheese 3ms been valued for balance-sheet purposes at the low figure of Old f.o.b. Whey butter unsold has also been valued at a safe figure. Allowing, as last year, the value of whey butter as a set off, the total expenses cf production, management and placing I f.o.b. have dropped f d per lb. of butI torfat. Milk received, 4 906,6651 bs ; average test, 4.16; butterfat, 201,472 lbs; cheese (factory weight), 532,577 lbs; whey butter, 18,5971b5; milk to 11b choose, 9.211b5; cheese to lib butterfat 2.641b5. , On tho motion of Mr J. C. Latham, seconded by Mr F. Wellington, the report and balance-sheet were adopted.

Referring;' to the past year’s operations, the chairman said that cheese had been sold from month to month. The top price realised up to the end of October was Bd, and 9d up to December. Ho mentioned that the amount spent on wages was loss than I previously, while there was an increase in milk supplied during the season. The cheese unsold was put at 6£d, and ho anticipated that the pay out would be more than was ! disclosed in the balance-sheet. | For tlie four vacancies on the d rectorato there were six nominations: Messrs W. Skedgwell, J. H. Kirkhy, and F. Wellington (present directors) and Messrs R. Aylward, C. Latham and R. Plows. \ ■ Owing to an equal number of votes being recorded for Messrs Aylward and Skedgwell, a second ballot was taken, when an equal number was again recorded. After discussion, Mr Skedgwell intimated that he wished to withdraw, and Mr Ayl--1 ward was, on the motion of Mr Bell I seconded by Mr Anderson, appointed to complete the number rcouired the names being Messrs Kirkby, Wellington, Latham and Aylward. A vote of thanks was accorded Mi’ Skedgwell for the able way in which * he had carried out his duties a? chairman. i i Mr J. H.
