CANTERBURY B BEAT MARLBOROUGH, Per Press Association, Blenheim, August 21. Marlborough mot Canterbury B today. The visitors, who made it o forward game, were excellent in loose rushes and! gained ground continually. The local forwards played a hard game, but lacked combination and lost many opportunities through infringements. The backs on both sides lacked brilliance. At the end of the first spell the score was Canterbury 6 and Marlborough 5. In the second spell play wag extremely fast, the ball travelling from end to end Canterbury added to their score with a potted goal, Marlborough kicking ai penalty. The final score was Canterbury 10, Marlborough 8.
