There are now 7,000 German railwayman in the territory, compared with 76,000 in March. The receipts equal ninety-seven pier cent, of the expenses. The receipts in money firom the coal tax, customs tax on imports and exports, exploitations o£ forests, and seizure of marks, are eight times in excess of the costs of exploiting.
