TOMORROW’S REP. MATCH. The kick-off is at 2.45 p.m. in the representative match Taranaki y. Canterbury, to bo played at the Recreation Sports Ground, New Plymouth, to-morrow. As a curtain-raiser Stratford and Star will play for the third-grade championship. The kick-off in this match is at 1.15 p.m. The Parihaka Shield match wan played at Parihaka on Wednesday afternoon, between Taranaki and Waitotara, and resulted in a win for Waifcotara by 8 to 3. For the winners. tries were scored by Ngapiaki and Pullen, one of which Ngapaki converted. Taranaki’s only score was a penalty by F. Hohaia. ,At Te Aroha on Wednesday, Wanganui was defeated l>y Thames Valley hy 10 points to 6. A remarkable feature of the play was that all the scoring was the result of goal-kick-ing. Thames Valley’s points wofe two penalties and a. potted goal, whilst Wanganui secured a goal from a mark and a penalty goal. , The following players have been Selected to represent Otago on the northern tour: Backs—Watson, Stewart, Webb, Knight, Morgan, Fea, Wise, McDougall,. The executive of the Taranaki Football Association has decided to play two matches between the players who took part in the Julian Cnp competitions. To-morrow tlxe A and B teams will try conclusions at Manaia, and on August 25 Hawera, winners of the cup, will play representatives of the other teams.
