The Echo de Paris says: No more in France than in England would statesmen worthy of the name end the Entente. M. Poincare frequently declared his faith in the Entente. It may be said his answer will now bring to light the means of creating accord with our friends. FRANCO-GERMAN RELATIONS. NEW NEGOTIATIONS POSSIBLE. (Received 10.55 a.m.) 0, Paris, August 16. Mr Thomas, director of the International Bureau of Labor, interviewed, Said he had spent a day in the corridors of the Reichstag, and had obtained the impression that now negotiations between France and Germany were possible, BEN TILLET’S SERIOUS VIEW. TALK OF ANGLO-FRENCH WAR. (Received 12.35 p.m.) London, August 16. Mr Bon Tillet, addressing the General Workers’ Congress, declared that if France did not evacuate the Ruhr he believed an Anglo-French war would bo inevitable.
