Your committee have to report another successful year for the Club, the only drawback being the weather which held up play during the season. The finances of the Club are in a satisfactory condition. The various competitions were keenly contested, especially the championship for cup presented by Mesdames Riera and Curtis. Tin's was won by Mrs Weston, after a spirited contest, Mrs White being runner-up. Tlie tournament singles was also won by Mrs Weston, the B section being won by Mrs Hillock. Dining tho season the Club played Havvera and Eltham on our own lawns, and those visits were returned to Hawera and Eltham Clubs. Everyone enjoyed these matches, and as a result much experience was gained by the players. We were defeated in all these games, but hope to turn th<? tables next season. The Club held a dance on 6th Juno, which was also a success and our finances we'r»* benefitted thereby to the extent of some £8 or £9. As members are aware, the Club during the past season, has erected a shelter shed, which has proved a great boon to members. We hope to get same painted and made more attractive during the coming season. The best thanks of the Club are due to Mesdames Riera and Curtis for providing the Club with a valuable cup as a floating trophy. A cup competition is always an incentive to players to produce their best form. The committee also' desire to thank other donors for trophies, also those wno so kindly assisted with donations, refreshments, etc. Oiir best tlianns are also due to our "City Fathers" for tho new entrance to our lawns. The same "will enable our various friends to find our rendezvous, without being bogged or bushed. We also appreciate the good service* rendered by our honorary auditor, Mr T. H. Penn, and place on record our thanks for his services. The committee can safely say that the coming season will see a marked improvement in the lawns This matter is receiving the attention of our worthy President, and left in her capable hands we can all look forward with pleasure, to a successful season in 1924.

Afternoon tea was served and was much enjoyed.
