At the, Police Court Ali Sunni and Theodore Gudding. were charged with .conspiring, to defraud John and Annie Serecomba of £305. John Serecombe stated in, evidence that accused told him they were to take part in a wrestling bout at Napier on Jun© 2nd. . Sunni said Gudding was to win and aßked, witness to finance them. He said their wrestling at Hamilton was not genuine but they, only, s got £25 in side bets. Gudding was present and heard the c*mv#sition. Witness agreed on condition that he got fifty-fifty of the winjnings. Witness offered, £6O. They wanted more and he introduced Sunni to an Indian named Daga, who put up £l5O, witness £l5O and witness' wife £l5O as wagers. The case is proceeding.
