HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP Per Press Association. Chriscchurch, August 14, Tom Heeney, of Gisborne (13.7) beat Brian McCleary, of Ohristchurch (12.0), far the heavyweight professional championship and a purse of £2OO. Heeney had the better of nine of the fourteen rounds which the contest went. In the fourteenth Heeney sent his opponent down for nine with a left and two rights to the jaw,. McCleary, on rising, was again floored. Ho regained his feet, but was very groggy, and Heeney then put him right out.
