ECMONT BOX COMPANY. Tlic annual report and balancesheet of the Egmont Box Co. states: "After writing off £9,717 10s lid for depreciation and exhausted bush. there is a balance of £5974- 13s 5d to be carried forward to next year. It will be noted that the company's indebtedness to the Bank of New Zealand at June 30 was £24,828 5s lid, a reduction of £33,295 8s 9d compared with last year. The Taurewa and Ohura bush rights mortgage accounts have also been reduced by £3,000 and £2lO respectively. The number of boxes manufactured last season—3s3,9o3—is a record in the history of the company. The output of cheese crates was 38,948 less than 1020-21. Arrangements have 'been made for sufficient supplies of white pine timber to enable the company to again fill this season tiie requirements of its shareholders for both boxes and crates. Three director.* are required in place of Messrs Woolridge, Ranford and McKay, who retiro by rotation, but are eligible for re-election."
