Herr Cuno (Premier) is credited with the explicit declaration that a conference with .the Party, leaders in Germany would have nothing to gain from Britain's interposition. There was nothing left but to intensify resistance against the oppressive Powers, especially in the 4 Ruhr. The Party leaders had agreed that; separate negotiations • with France! were now out of the question. j
