——— SALE OF WORlv. A very successful sale of work was Reid at the Parish Hall on Saturday in connection with St„ Mary’g Diocesan Girls’ School, Very generous contributions were made by parents and friends of the girls, both to the various stalls and to the afternoon tea. Visitors came from all parts of the district, from as far distant as Lepperton and Egmont Village, and from the opening at 2 p.m. the hall was crowded. The various stalls wer©Sih charge of Hie following:—Needlework and Dolls: Miss 0. Stanford assisted by b. Oldham, F. Larsen, R. Honeyfield, I. Fowler, M. Fargie, G. Kemp. Fancywork and Art: Miss Porritt assisted by M. Bell, A. Smith, L. Keeling, M. Johnson, E. Jackson; Produce and Jumble: Miss Bates assisted by M. Christoffel, N. Wicksteed, B. Head B. Mann, P. Abraham; Sweets ana Flowers; Miss Young assisted by C. Perry, M. McAllum, J. Christie, I. Harrison, E. Carryer, M. Besley; Afternoon. Tea: Mesdames Budge, Howard and Rutherfurd, assisted by M, Pease, A. Webster, A. Campbell, A. Riera, H. Abraham ; Bra n Tub : Mis s Budding, assisted by P. Perry, N. Spence, P. Corney; name doll: Miss Budding-assisted by E. Bailey and M. Fookes. A numerous audience assembled in the evening for the play “The Sleeping Beauty,” and hearty applause greeted each scene. Christie, H. Abraham, E. Baily, B. Mann, N. Wicksteed. The fairies iu their various colored gowns danced the Maxina and a. Morris Dance and had to respond to an encore.
