DISASTER ON OIL TANKER.

A verified account of the' explosion on the oil tanker Crowe shows that five were killed and six seriously .injured, forty being slightly injured. There was a t rrific explosion of oil vapours i n the hold. Several hundred ironworkers wlio were engaged on repairs to the Crewe, were imperilled, and six large steamers lying nearby wer 0 endangered. Firemen's remarkable work prevented serious damage as well as greater loss of life.
