THE PERIOD OF TEST. Regarding the period of test, Mr Belcher said that in life opinion the practice of having a twelve months’ test was wrong. He thought the same result could 4 be attained by making it nine months, and tins would also bring the test into line with the general milking herd. He understood that the ninb months’ system was in operation in Australia. An interesting discussion ensued ou the various phases of the question.
