THE KING’S CINEMA

‘HEIRESS FOR A DAY.”

Captivating., little Olive Thomas is the central figure of the Triangle feature “Heiress for a Day” to he screened at the King’s Cinema tonight. No one having once seen her would care to miss a picture in which this piquant star appears. As Helen Thurston, she is manicurist at a fashionable hotel and falls In love with Standring, a very wealthy young man. She laments the fact that his world is not her world and envies the dazzling creatures who are his friends. Standring, however, has a great liking for her. Then news arrives that she has inherited a fortune, and she straightways discards the sweet simplicity she,has charmed him and tries to emulate the false ways of Ins social equals, with the result that he begins to dislike her heartily. The story has much humour hut there are some very touching scenes.
