The Press Bureau states: The King telegraphing the news of the promotion of General Allenby to the Order of the Grand Cross of the Bath, expresses his admiration of the spirit and endurance of the troops who secured the complete surrender of the Turks and says: "This is a glorious and memorable achievement, and on behalf of your grateful fellow countrymen, 1 thank you and all ranks."
