The local State School and its contents were totally destroyed '>y fire about one o'clock tliis morning, The building accommodated .-100 children, and was well appointed. Its opening was one of the last public functions attended hy the late Hon. Ri J. Scddon. The origin of the fire is a mystery, but incendiarism is suspected.
