COMPENSATION PROPOSALS. Per Press Association. i- Christchurch, July 12. lAu efficiency compaign, having for its object the closing of the Liquor Trade with compensation, was launched last-night at a public meeting. The Mayor presided, and a motion, proposed by Rev. R, S. Gray was,* carrived, expressing strong approval of the proposals of the New Zealand Alliance, and pledging to-do all in its power to make the campaign a success* ■. . -i - .
