In the Reichstag on Saturday, the Progressives, Liberals and Socialists of the Central Party requested that the 1860-1870 classes be sent home, also the Landsturmers who had served since the outbreak of the war. The Socialists denounced to calling up of cripples, adding that men had been called for political reasons, despite their unfitness. They declared there was much resentment at the officers getting good food, while the men were given putrid meat. If this system was not stopped, the masses would burst the bonds of slavery.
