The Austrians and Germans continue to plunder, destroy, and violate women like, savages throughout the occupied Italian districts. Many women and girls committed suicide as the result of the soldiers’ brutality. The inhabitants are left starving the Gormans fearing that they would revolt. if taken to the prison camps.
