Steven is at present indisposed anfiT will be unkblA to attend to his practice for a few days. Mr A. D. Stanley, secretary of the Stratford A, and P. Association, is at present indisposed. The death is reported from Palmerston North of Mr O. B. Harris, a wellknown chemist, at the age of 60 years. Dr. Gordon, of Dunedin Public Hospital, is at present in Stratford. She is acting as locum tenens for Dr. Paget who is at present on holiday. i The many friends of Mr Sidney Pitt, of Stratford, and Miss A. M. Healy, of the Stratford Hospital staff, will be interested to learn of their wedding engagement. A Press Association telegram from Auckland reports the death of Mr Gerhard John Mueller, ex-Commission-er of Crown Lands for Auckland and ex-Assistant . Surveyor-General, aged 83. He had. been in New Zealand since 1858,. and had been connected with the Civil Service since 1865. At tlie Manaia Presbyterian Church on Wednesday evening, a special service was held for the unveiling of mural tablets to the memory of Lieut. L. W. Meuli and Cbrporal A. J. Gilmour, and of a roll of honor containing the names of the members and adherents to the Presbyterian Chruch in Manaia district who have gone to the front. ...
