Officials discovered a most extensive system whereby letters written in invisible ink in code are carried by neutral sailors to Scandinavia and thence to Germany. It was suspected that codes were used in twenty per cent, of the letters owing to Scandinavia. many being concealed in clothing. Arrests are expected. NEW BRITISH BOM&-TH ROWER. It is reported here that the British are using a gun capable of hurling, a “depth bomb” over a distance of one mile. The bomb is effective if it strikes within fifty yards of a periscope, because the explosion produces a tremendous concussion.
