FOOTBALL.
WELLINGTON v. AUCKLAND. Per Press Association. Auckland, August 18. A representative football match was played at the Domain this afternoon between W( Bington and Auckland, the players bei.'g under 20 years of age. The weather was threatening, and after half-time a drizzling rain made the bMI greasy and the ground treacherous. There was a large crowd of spectators, and also considerable enthusiasm. The result was a win for Auckland by 12 points to nil. Th© score was made up of three tries and one penalty god. The game was more even than the score indicates. Wellington were if ten-unlucky. By agreement neither ,-ide played a wing forward, the referee putting the ball in the scrum, the extra man being used as a roving half.
